Established in 1875, as a first private fire brick company in Japan, Shinagawa Refractories has always retained passion and commitment to quality for every major industry.

For over 145 years, SHINAGAWA's refractory solutions supported operation of essential industry: iron & steel, non-ferrous, power generator, cement, glass, chemicals, pulp & paper and refineries.

History of SHINAGAWA is a history of dedication to development of Japanese industry and society. The company's utmost pride stems from the fact that refractory supports virtually every industry. Without refractory, there would be no cars, no glass and no economic growth.

In recent years, SHINAGAWA has grown to become one of the largest refractory suppliers in the world, and the company's new focus is on advanced energy saving approaches for preservation of the environment. It is SHINAGAWA's mission to find common environmental interests with global community and take the initiative in exploring refractory technology for sustainable future.

With 145 years of refractory experience, SHINAGAWA has been rapidly expanding overseas business, developing its extensive reach for customers worldwide.
